At Get Out of Town Travel, we believe that travel should not only fulfill your sense of adventure but also bring joy to your heart. For me, that sense of joy began at home with animals. All my animals are rescues—I’ve never purchased a dog, cat, or even my two beloved horses, who passed many years ago. I believe all creatures deserve happiness in their lives, and they truly rescue you in return.

I’ve had animals by my side since I was four years old, from dogs to cats and even a few feral surprises. Not too long ago, some skinny feral cats appeared at my house, and I couldn’t resist feeding them. Before I knew it, one had six kittens, and the next month, another litter of five arrived. After making sure they were all spayed and neutered, I found myself with 13 cats hanging around my home. Now, five cats remain as part of my little outdoor family, much to the dismay of my two dogs who prefer their own space!

When I’m not wrangling animals, I’m planning incredible travel adventures for others. Whether it’s leading groups to the bright lights of New York City for theatre and opera tours, hitting the slopes in the Alps or the Rockies, or organizing golf trips to Florida, the Rocky Mountain Golf Trail, or even Europe, there’s always a new adventure on the horizon. For those who prefer a more scenic getaway, I also offer trips to U.S. National Parks, featuring hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more.

Some of my favorite tours are built around special interests. From Opera Festivals in Italy to winery tours in Napa and Sonoma, I love crafting experiences that are truly unique. Bridge cruises are always a hit, and I’m currently working on something exciting—a Jazz Cruise planned for June 2025.
